Free After Three: Style Club - Body Mapping & Alteration

Tuesday, April 10, 2018, 4-6 pm (Ages 14-25)
Weston Family Learning Centre, Art Gallery of Ontario

Want to learn how to take your measurements and make small but mighty alterations to your most beloved pieces of clothing? Fashion designer Emma Doyle will walk you through properly measuring your body and how to dart and hem your garments to create a better fitting wardrobe!

**Please bring with you a garment or two from your closet that needs slight alteration to help your clothing live it’s best life!

Limited to 20 spaces, first come first serve.

Emma Doyle is a designer working in fashion, film and interiors. She spent a decade in London, UK, designing for independent, luxury womens and menswear labels, including Louise Gray, Nasir Mazhar, Future Classics and Michael van der Ham. Her work with these brands has been exhibited at London Fashion Week, Fashion East and internationally within London Showrooms in Paris, New York, LA and Hong Kong. It has appeared in Vogue, ID, Dazed and Confused and has been sold world wide in retail spaces such as Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Dover Street Market, Opening Ceremony and Net-a-porter. Since moving back to her much-loved Toronto 2 years ago, Emma has worked in costume for television and film on The Handmaid’s Tale, and as a textile artist on Star Trek: Discovery. This winter she launched her own clothing label, BEST TIME. Emma studied Fashion at Ryerson University in Toronto and Central St Martins in London and has previously instructed at London College of Fashion, Brighton University and Toronto’s TFA and The Workroom. She is so excited to be teaching this spring at the AGO, a place very near and dear to her heart.
