Present Tense 22: David Hoffos

EXHIBTION OVERVIEW

Another City, a monumental work by Lethbridge, Alberta artist David Hoffos, refers to the history of cinema and to world's fair pavilions. The overall construction mimics a Victorian-era Cyclorama designed to house 360° panoramas. A mirrored chamber within contains a little high-rise cityscape. Throughout, video projections appear to move in real space.

Hoffos is represented by TrépanierBaer, Calgary and João Graça, Lisbon.
