Pulse: a provocative new series on the art of our time

Waste Management

April 7 - July 11, 1999

EXHIBITION OVERVIEW

This exhibition of sculpture, photography, drawing and installation takes a speculative look at how several up-and-coming artists recycle the disposable aspects of contemporary culture. This younger generation makes new use of the residual value from discarded art practices of preceding generations, from the transient pleasures of popular genres, and from the mundane objects and events of everyday life. Waste Management presents both Canadian and international artists, including Tom Friedman, Germaine Koh, Daniel Olson, Sandra Rechico, Joseph Scanlan, David Shrigley and Kelly Wood.
