Art-Making Inspired by Feminist Ideas

Visit the AGO's galleries and library to discover artists whose work exemplify feminist strategies and that express ideas about gender equality from economic, social and political perspectives. Explore through various mediums, artists such as Joyce Wieland, Christi Belcourt, Camal Pirbhai and Camille Turner, and Emily Carr, the ideas that are important to you today and that help inform and communicate a sense of your own identity.

Materials for the first class are provided. Students will receive a list of required materials for the following classes.

This course meets in the AGO's Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School. Participants must be 18 or older. Space is limited.
