City Explorations: Traveller's Sketchbook
Planning a vacation? Learn quick drawing and painting techniques so you can create a lasting image of an intriguing building, a vibrant street view or a relaxing landscape as you travel. Instruction will take place in the Gallery and in the surrounding neighbourhood for direct observation.
Students are expected to bring the following supplies: a sketchbook (8" x 11" or thereabouts), ballpoint pen/ gel pen, a few sticks of charcoal or compressed charcoal, pencils (HB, 2B, 4B), self-contained pencil sharpener, and a white eraser. A portable sitting stool is recommended and a basic watercolour set and 2 brushes (one smaller and one larger) is optional.
Students are asked to print out a copy of their receipt and meet in the Community Gallery located in the Weston Family Learning Centre for the start of the first class. Receipt must be presented at the start of each class. Suitable for beginners.
