Expressive Drawing Intensive
Working through a series of playful exercises, such as automatic drawing, this workshop will explore the language of line, mark making and composition in a way that moves beyond direct observation and rendering into developing unique self-expression. Students will be encouraged to tap into the subconscious and use the intelligence of the body to make drawings that address the world beyond the visible.
Materials for the first class are provided. Students will receive a list of required materials for the following classes.
This course meets in the AGO's Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School. Participants must be 18 or older. Space is limited.
