Printmaking Explorations: Silkscreen
Screen-printing is a very physical, but rewarding process of printing, in which you push inks through stencils through a very fine fabric. It is a versatile medium that can be applied to any surface. Students will create multi-layer prints, mixing inks, painting through the screen and making gradients on a single layer, which is called a split fountain blend, as well as overprinting, and off set registration. Materials included; however, students are encouraged to bring select papers, t-shirts, bags, and other materials they would like to print on.
ATTENTION: No class February 19.
