Group Bookings options

Welcome! Advance bookings are required for all groups of 10 or more, including students, adults, youth and children.

Group visits get access to discounted admission, quick entry to the gallery, designated spaces for lunch and convenient drop off and pick up locations! 

Request a guided group tour or reserve admission for a self-led visit and for additional information, select a category below.

All group visitors must follow Visitor Guidelines and Group Guidelines.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain the safety of our visitors and the artwork. Please review Gallery Guidelines before your visit.

By visiting the Art Gallery of Ontario with a group, you agree to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Advance reservations are required for all adult and student groups of 10 or more. 
  • Group bookings must be made at least four (4) weeks prior to a guided gallery visit and at least three (3) days before a self-guided visit.  
  • To request a visit, you must complete the Group Visit booking form in advance and account for all attendees in your group. An AGO representative will be in touch once we have received your booking request. 
  • Membership, Annual Pass and other ticket types do not apply to group admission. 
  • All payments are final. Refunds and Credits will not be issued for overpayments or cancellations. 
  • Tickets may not be upgraded, refunded, resold, exchanged, or transferred. 
  • All visitors in your group must be present when you check in and must have a valid group admission ticket to enter the galleries. 
  • All visitors must scan their admission tickets to enter the gallery. Please anticipate lines at the entrance. 
  • Please allow approximately two to three hours to experience the gallery. 
  • Groups who arrive to the gallery without booking in advance will be required to pay the general admission day rate and will not be eligible for the group discount 
  • Be mindful of other visitors when leading your group through the galleries. Do not block entrances or corridors. 
  • Groups cannot join public Museum guided tours. Visitor Experience can arrange private guided tours with advance notice. 
  • Groups arriving more than thirty minutes after the scheduled start of their guided visit will forfeit their tour. 
  • All groups must adhere to the Gallery’s Institutional Diversity, Inclusion, and Equal Access Policy Statement and all group tours should be conducted aligning with this policy. The principles of diversity, inclusion, and equal access apply to all aspects of The AGO’s operations, across all categories of individuals. Individuals should be able to share in the gallery experience, free from biased or demeaning conduct or statements based on their personal characteristics. Visit AGO FOR ALL for more information. 
  • Verbally abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or threatening statements or behaviour toward AGO staff or other visitors is prohibited. 
  • Dedicated motorcoach parking is not available at the gallery. Parking must be arranged by the group 
  • The Art Gallery of Ontario reserves the right not to allow large groups into the museum without advance reservation. 
  • Protection Service Officers and AGO staff and volunteers are here to help. Please follow their instructions. 
  • The Art Gallery of Ontario reserves the right to refuse or revoke the admission of any group, lecturer, or group member whose conduct violates these guidelines.
