Drawing Explorations: Portraits

This course will consider a selection of presentations from historical works on paper to contemporary multi-media artworks focused on identity and self-representation. This workshop will combine observational drawing and discussion in the galleries with in-studio sketches, leading students toward the creation of expressive, intentional drawings focused on the face.

Materials for the first class are provided. On the first class, you will receive a list of materials required for subsequent classes.

This class meets in the Dr. Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School. Participants must be 18 or older. To get the most from this workshop, we suggest you take Introduction to Drawing first.

*No class Friday April 19.
