Painting Explorations: Abstract Art

This course introduces students to a range of abstract painting techniques, including different application methods to develop an awareness of light, line, volume, form and colour.  Students will create studies and finished works using acrylic paint in this course inspired by abstract works in the AGO Collection. Learn to capture atmosphere and mood while approaching abstract painting technically and conceptually.

This class is suitable for students with some painting experience. To get the most out of this course, we recommend taking Introduction to Painting first. Meet in the Dr. Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School.

No class on Easter weekend, April 18.

Please review the Terms and Conditions of participation prior to the start of class.
