Sculpture Explorations: Plants & Vessels
Reflecting on Hito Steyerl’s exhibition, we explore every-day materials to develop works that convey new meanings of representation and community. Students will work with a range of found and sculpting materials including plaster and air-dry clay to create interpretations of vessel forms and plant life. Materials for this class are provided, students will be required to collect additional materials such as plants and/or glassware to complete their works.
This course meets in the Dr. Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School. Participants must be 18 or older. Prior experience with the medium is recommended.
