Yoga in the Gallery

Rich in creativity and rooted in self-expression, yoga and the arts are wonderfully complementary.

Unwind with a restorative morning yoga session, and be inspired by the art and architecture of the AGO. Registered yoga teacher Karmit Ifrah will lead gentle sessions of Hatha Yoga, promoting balance, strength, flexibility and stillness in the mind.    .

Recommended props: Yoga mat, two blocks and a yoga belt or elastic strap.

Karmit Ifrah is a dancer, yoga/Pilates instructor and a  mindfulness ambassador. She has spent hundreds of hours exploring different movements, from variations of dance forms, mat Pilates and different styles of yoga.Through the natural progression of mind and body connection, she felt the need to dive into mindfulness and continue to explore with awareness and curiosity. Karmit’s intention is to offer her students space to explore the relationship of movement and breath free of self judgment through the practice of presence and staying true to oneself.
