What is the AGO Annual Pass and how does it work?

Do you have parking?

We don’t have our own parking lot but there are parking areas in the vicinity of the AGO.

How much does admission cost?

What are the gallery hours?

Hours vary depending on the day. Our Visitor Information page contains an up-to-date listing of museum hours, and hours for our restaurant, shops and other areas.

Can I bring in food and or drinks into the gallery?

Food and drink are not permitted in the galleries. Please visit AGO Bistro, the Espresso Bar in Galleria Italia or our family-friendly caféAGO. Sealed water bottles and baby bottles are allowed into gallery spaces but must be consumed in non-art spaces or in Walker Court or Galleria Italia.

What art work do you have on display?

Please see our Current Exhibitions and Upcoming Exhibitions for information about exhibitions. At this time we do not have detailed information about which objects from our collection are currently on display. We are working to make this information available as soon as possible. 

How do I get my art work appraised?

We suggest Sotheby’s Auction House at 416-926-1774 or Christies at 416-960-2063 for monetary appraisals.

Do you have a designated bus parking area?

The AGO does not have a designated bus parking area. Groups can be dropped off and picked up on Dundas St. in front of our Group Entrance. Please refer to the City of Toronto website for bus parking options.


Membership Questions

What are the membership levels and associated benefits?

I’m trying to book tickets for both this week and next week but I the website doesn't allow it. 

As a member, you can visit as many times as you like but you can only book one set of tickets at a time. 

Can I visit without my membership card?

Yes you can, just bring your ID in and you will be issued admission


Family Questions

Is the AGO baby friendly?

Yes. Babies are very welcome in the Gallery and we also have activities for children aged one year and up.

Are baby strollers allowed in the galleries?


Can I feed my baby in the gallery?

You are welcome to breastfeed your baby in any of the Gallery’s seating areas. Walker Court on our main level and Galleria Italia on the second floor both have comfortable seats and benches. For more privacy or quiet space, there is seating along the windows overlooking the Gallery school in the Weston Family Learning Centre or in the foyer just outside the women's washroom located in the Thomson Collection of Ship Models on the Gallery’s lower level. Our Gallery staff are always happy to assist or to direct you. Meals, snacks or drinks brought to the Gallery for toddlers and older children can be enjoyed at the tables in the Weston Family Learning Centre or at other seating areas away from the art spaces.

Where can I change my baby?

There are baby changing stations located in all public washrooms.

Can I take diaper bags into the galleries on a stroller?

Yes, please store them underneath the carrier on the handle bars. Please don’t carry them on your back.

Are baby slings/carriers allowed?

Yes as long as they worn on the front of your body not on your back

Can my kids eat at the AGO?

Yes! caféAGO on the lower level has a great selection of child-friendly food, including tuna or egg salad sandwiches, grilled cheese or other hot options, fruit cups and yogurt parfait. Even the fussiest kids will find something they like at CaféAGO. Members enjoy a 10% discount in caféAGO.

AGO Bistro, on the main level, is also happy to accommodate young guests and offers a children's menu for lunch and dinner. Members always receive a 10% discount. Members are welcome to bring their children to the Norma Ridley Members’ Lounge. A children’s menu is available in the Lounge.
