Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Art Gallery of Ontario. We are not in a period of active recruitment and all of our adult programs are full.
Recruitment for summer art camp volunteers is temporarily on pause due to the Gallery’s ongoing labour disruption. If you are a high school student with availability to join us in July and/or August, please contact [email protected] to be added to our summer art camp contact list. We will follow up with you, when we can.
This role is reserved reserved for high-school students, aged 15 -18, to fulfill their volunteer hours credit.
Summer art camp volunteers are the “best friends” of camp. You role is to help supervise and support our young campers, and also help prepare art supplies, providing one-to-one art making assistance, and play games/ eat lunch with your group. Volunteers assist in teams of 2-4, and help our paid art camp staff and instructors. You do not need previous experience to apply. Volunteer among likeminded youth, make new friends, learn new skills and join us this summer! If you are an enthusiastic, early riser, who enjoys arts and crafts and being with children, we would love to hear from you.
Required Availability: This is a two-week placement (70 hours). Volunteers must be available for one full, two-week session of camp (Monday to Friday, 8:15am -4:15pm daily). Camp sessions run throughout July and August, and volunteers can choose their session to volunteer.
