Angelika’s Promise: A Monologue Play
June 17 and 24, 2009
Jackman Hall, Art Gallery of Ontario
Angelika Hoerle lived hard and died young. In spite of her youth, she left a promising artistic legacy. This monologue play written by her grand-niece Angelika Littlefield, captures Angelika, the person, in the last five weeks of her life while she explored her times, relationships, women’s issues and her art. This companion to the exhibition Angelika Hoerle: The Comet of Cologne Dada, concludes with an interactive dialogue between the audience, performers and playwright.
