The November First Thursday: Roll Up The Sleeves

Thursday, November 1, 7 - 11:30 pm

November’s AGO First Thursday is designed to make you think (and feel) while experiencing amazing art, dancing to infectious beats and eating and drinking the night away.

Inspired by Anthropocene, our current major exhibition that explores the impacts humans have had on our planet, November’s AGO First Thursday artists delve into the important issues of our time. Grab your friends and prepare to be motivated to make a difference and have a great time.

Our headliner is New York-based producer, dancer and rapper Le1f. Known for his club-ready beats and powerful lyrics, Le1f uses his music to tackle tough subjects including racism, sexism, transphobia and homophobia.

Also experience performance artist Raven Davis, an Indigenous, mix-raced multidisciplinary artist, curator, and educator from the Anishinaabek Nation in Manitoba. Additional music will be provided by Stunts from iconic Toronto party Yes, Yes, Y’All, while musician and artist Anni Spadafora will offer an experience not to be missed. Don’t forget to pick up a custom program designed by artist Eli Howey, best known for his series of works under the Passageways moniker.

As always, enjoy delicious food and drink at the AGO Night Market, as well as a special selection of works courtesy Out of the Vaults.
