Youth Volunteer Opportunities

Summer Art Camp Volunteer (Age 15+)

Volunteer among likeminded youth, make new friends, and learn teambuilding skills; all in our beautiful and creative, studio setting! If you are an enthusiastic, early riser, who loves art, enjoys making of all kinds, and being with children, we want to hear from you!

Your Role: Summer art camp volunteers are the “best friends” of camp. Your role is to help supervise and support our young campers, which includes: helping prepare art supplies, providing one-to-one art making assistance, and playing games/ eating lunch with your group. There’s plenty of opportunity for creativity too, by participating in optional theme and dress-up days.

Volunteers are grouped in small teams of 2-4, matched with a camp session, and help our paid art camp staff and studio instructors. You do not need previous experience to apply.

Required Availability: This is a two-week placement (70 hours). Volunteers must be available for one (1) full, two-week session of camp, see below (Monday to Friday, 8:15 am - 4:15 pm daily). Camp sessions run throughout July and August, and volunteers can choose their session to volunteer. All volunteers must attend a mandatory training and orientation session in order to volunteer (date to be confirmed).

Session 1 July 2 – 12 (no camp Monday July 1)
Session 2 July 15 – 26
Session 3 July 29 – August 9
Session 4 August 12 – 23
Session 5 August 26 – 30 (5 days/ 35 hour placement)

Application deadline: Friday June 21
Apply early to be accepted early!

APPLY NOW: Priority will be given to early applicants. Applications will be received until all placements are full. Please note this volunteer opportunity is reserved for high school aged students (aged 15 – 18).

Due to a high volume of applicants we regret we cannot respond personally to all applications; those selected for an interview will be contacted.
