Spring/Summer 2017
Jackman Hall, Art Gallery of Ontario
Members $10 | Public $12 | Students $8

Films by artists. Films about artists. This spring the AGO presents the best documentaries, features and artist film and video with our Art + Cinema series. Highlights of the program include Tania Libre, which gives audiences an inside look into the recent arrest and detention of Cuban artist Tania Bruguera, rare screenings of Perry Miller Adato’s 1977 documentary of iconic twentieth-century artist Georgia O’Keeffe, and the first documentary to explore the role of photography in shaping the identity, aspirations, and social emergence of African Americans from slavery to the present, Through a Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People.
