Painting: Pop Art

Celebrate commonplace objects and elevate the everyday!

This 5 week course inspired by KAWS: Family introduces students to a range of painting techniques, including different application methods to develop an awareness of line, volume, form and colour.  Students will create studies and finished works using acrylic paint in this course that draws upon the AGO’s pop imagery, drawn from media and popular culture as inspiration. Learn how to make your work POP with colour theory while approaching painting technically and conceptually. Different strategies for transferring information will be used.
