Love delicious food and want to support access to nutrition for communities in Toronto?
Don’t miss The Stop's Night Market, an annual fundraiser that brings together the brightest of Toronto’s design, performance, and cuisine-minded creatives to celebrate food and the power of community. This year it will include savoury snacks from more than 65 chefs over two evenings (June 12 and 13). Led by Executive Chef Renée Bellefeuille, the AGO culinary team will be participating once again.
Featuring live music as well as design and art installations, The Night Market raises funds for The Stop Community Food Centre, a non-profit promoting access to healthy food for communities in Toronto. The event helps to support food banks, community gardens, and youth leadership programs. This tasty fundraiser is fuelled by the chefs who generously lend their time, skills and resources to support the cause, including the talented AGO culinary team.
“We’ve participated in this event for four years because we love to give back to the community,” says Felicia Alberti, the AGO’s Event Chef. “Helping out The Stop Night Market, which provides critical food access and community-building programs, is a wonderful way to give back.”
The AGO culinary team is preparing a grilled IPA marinated chicken with cashew, a dish Alberti says is inspired by summer and blends flavours from around the world.
