Sunday Fun-day!

Looking for somewhere fun to take the kids now that it’s colder outside? Good news! Family Sundays are returning to the AGO. Beginning this weekend (October 28) and continuing each Sunday from 1–4 pm until April 28, the whole family can enjoy creative and interactive artmaking activities.

This Sunday we’re getting into the spooky spirit with our Halloween-themed Family Sunday kickoff in the Weston Family Learning Centre. Join us for magical glow-in-the-dark artmaking and shadowy flashlight fun! Make a wearable glow-in-the-dark headband or wristband and take a spooky torch tour through the Thomson Collection of Ship Models.

Want even more artmaking fun? Stop by the Dr. Mariano Elia Hands-On Centre and help our cardboard forest grow by using art materials to make bugs, flowers and other plants. Visit the Art Cart in the J. S. McLean Centre for Indigenous & Canadian Art to make flipbooks and animal storyboards.

In November, the fun gets earthy. Inspired by our major fall exhibition, Anthropocene, all November long Family Sundays will explore our changing environment and how we can be sustainable in our artmaking. Kids and families can get creative using recycled materials like paper, cardboard and paper straws to make something unique! Then join us at 2 pm or 3 pm for a storytime reading of Something from Nothing by Phoebe Gilman.

Family Sundays happen every Sunday 1-4 pm until April 28, 2019 (we’ll offer March Break Drop-In Family Fun on March 10 and 17, 2019). Family Sundays are included with General Admission. AGO Members always visit for free.
