Ever wondered what infinity tastes like? Now you can find out because Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors has taken over the AGO, from the galleries right through to our menus.
Here are some Kusama-inspired tasty treats we’re serving up:
Looking for a tasty lunch option? Head to caféAGO for a Japanese-themed Bento box, available each day in limited quantities. Get there early so you don’t miss out!
Norma Ridley Members’ Lounge
Our afternoon tea has gone dotty thanks to a Kusuma-themed menu with strong Japanese influences – chicken katsu slider or Genmaicha-infused panna cotta anyone? Afternoon tea is available for AGO Members every Saturday and Sunday, noon and 2:30 pm. Looking for a sweet treat? Order the Obliteration Cheesecake. Infinity and dessert, what’s not to love?
AGO Pastry Pop-Up
Looking to take your Kusama to-go? Check out the pastry pop-up in shopAGO that will include Japanese-inspired matcha mouse cake, and yuzu and black sesame macarons. (Limited quantities each day.)
AGO Bistro
Our bistro offerings, rooted in the foundations of French and Italian cooking, will be kissed with the unique flavours of Yayoi Kusama’s home country, Japan.
“In AGO Bistro, we chose to concentrate on the types of food that Kusama herself would have enjoyed at home or in her studio as she created her masterpieces,” said Chef Renée Bellefeuille. “With that as our inspiration, we built a prix fixe that reflects Kusama’s Japanese heritage.”
Chef’s prix fixe is available for lunch for $38 per person. Looking to pair it with a Kusama-themed cocktail? We recommend an Obliteration Fizz complete with rum, Calpico soda, fresh yuzu juice and fruit caviar. Book your meal today!
