We *heart* kids!

There are many ways for kids and families to enjoy the AGO, and we’re always looking for new ways to inspire and engage little ones. This month we launch two new initiatives to allow kids to express their creativity and participate in art-making.

First up are new drawing stations that let kids make their mark and share stories in creative discovery zones found throughout the AGO.

And coming soon are AGO art carts, mobile activity centres with fun for everyone! Caregivers and children can participate in hands-on art-making, art puzzles, games and so much more all while being surrounded by all the incredible artworks at the AGO. Families can draw inspiration from what they see, feel and hear all around them.

Art Carts will be in the AGO’s Level 1 galleries throughout the summer. They can be tracked down on Saturdays between 12 pm and 3 pm, Sundays from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and on Holiday Mondays from 10:30 am to 3 pm.

Visitors are encouraged to share their masterpieces with the hashtag #AGOMakes or check out the hashtag to see what others have created.

The AGO Kids’ Gallery will be closing soon as part of Look: Forward, with the space re-opening later in the year with newly installed works from our Prints and Drawings collection. Keep an eye on our Look: Forward page for updates.

AGO Members always visit the Collection for free. Learn more!
