Dan Jamieson is an award-winning artist living and working in London. Since gaining a BA in Painting from Camberwell College of Arts, Dan has achieved notoriety for his tongue-in-cheek celebrity portraits as well as his ever growing collection of ceramic ‘hate plates’ and neon series that have clients collecting worldwide.

Colourful, playful often with a patchwork of humorous text, frenetic lines, collage, symbols and patterns, Dan's stylised practice spans painting, drawing in pen and felt-tip as well as digital drawing and handmade ceramics.

The ‘hate plates’ involve blunt, sometimes rude, and charmingly crude statements that are equally bold and equally crass. They centre around the rigours and awkwardness of socialising, friend’s irritating habits, drinking, misplaced nostalgia and aim to provoke a reaction in the viewer as a conversation piece where you can allow the ‘hate plates’ do the talking for you.
