Marvin Gelber Print & Drawing Study Centre, Art Gallery of Ontario
Join Sophie Hackett, Assistant Curator, Photography, for an exploration of the long and varied career of American photographer Edward Steichen (1879–1973). From his early successes in the Pictorialist scene at the turn of the 20th century to his monumental 1955 exhibition The Family of Man, Steichen remains one of the most influential and controversial figures in the history of photography.
This talk is held in conjunction with the exhibition Edward Steichen: In High Fashion, the Condé Nast Years, 1923–1937.
