Present Tense 12: Juan Geuer

September 2, 1999 - November 28, 1999

EXHIBITION OVERVIEW

The work of Dutch-born artist Juan Geuer is the twelfth exhibition in Present Tense, an ongoing series featuring current works by national and international contemporary artists. Juan Geuer has been exhibiting in Canada and internationally since the early 1960s. His works often appear to be scientific instruments and frequently incorporate such elements as seismometers and lasers. These devices explore our place in the world in relation to natural phenomena. Water In Suspense, created for Present Tense, explores the events inside a drop of water.
