You may have heard of landscapes before, but what about cityscapes? Using simple shapes and forms, Marian Dale Scott captures a city’s hustle and bustle. In this painting, people march up and down staircases in the city of Montreal.

About Marian Dale Scott

Montreal-based artist Marian Dale Scott (1906–1993) worked as an artist for almost 70 years. She experimented with different artistic movements throughout her career, but she is perhaps best known for incorporating geometric shapes into urban scenes and landscapes.
