Create exciting and original art projects in the camp program that is right for you. Led by our team of Artist Instructors, AGO Camps offer one and two-week sessions, inspired by our special exhibitions, collections, and contemporary art practices.

Our two-week Leaders in Training (LIT) program returns for ages 14 to 15. This unique opportunity encourages older campers to build confidence, learn personal and professional skills, and gain hands-on experience within a vibrant camp community surrounded by the art and resources of the AGO.

All camps include visits to the AGO galleries, including exhibitions such as The Impressionist Revolution: Monet to Matisse from the Dallas Museum of Art and the exciting museum debut of Canadian artist Ranbir Sidhu: No Limits.

Leaders-in-Training

The Leaders-in-Training (LIT) program is a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills within a camp environment—all while surrounded by the extraordinary art and resources the AGO offers. This two-week program builds confidence while you learn personal and professional skills, along with a behind the scenes look at some of the more exclusive areas of the gallery.

In week one, you’ll spend time learning from experienced AGO staff including our Education & Programming, Curatorial, Conservation and Facilities teams. We'll cover topics such as teamwork, conflict resolution, diversity, equity and inclusion, problem solving and self-care, while also visiting off limit spaces and departments not accessible to the public. In week two, you'll get hands-on experience during placements in our camps, engaging with campers and learning from our Art Instructors and Camp Counsellors. Participants will also have the chance to make their own art during the session, lead games within the camps, and learn about the current exhibitions in the gallery. The LIT program is a great way to start building your resume and learn how to meet responsibilities in a supportive and creative environment.
