CLAY WITH NESS LEE

Come hang out with local artist Ness Lee and explore all the possibilities with clay! In this workshop you will learn the simple techniques of slab work (working with sheets of clay that can be folded, curved, and joined to make different forms) and coiling (rolling out clay into a long thin sausage-like form that is wound round like a spring) to make your very own unique vessel. All ages welcome, all materials provided. This workshop is suitable for all skill levels.

Ness Lee is an artist from Toronto, exploring notions of intimacy and self-love in their practice using a wide range of mediums as an expression of language and being. Their work has been featured at the AGO, Agnes Etherington Art Centre, Art Gallery of Hamilton, as well as galleries in New York, Los Angeles, Taiwan, Montreal and Toronto. Lee has also participated in mural festivals in Canada and Internationally in Hyderabad, India and Cozumel, Mexico.
