MARCH BREAK GROUP VISITS FAQ

Can my group drop in without booking?

No. Groups of 10 or more must book in advance

If my group all have annual passes or Ontario Youth tickets, do I need to schedule and pay for a self-guided visit?

Yes. Annual passes, Ontario Youth and all other ticket types guarantee free admission for individual admission only. All group visits must be booked online in advance and fees apply.

Where do we enter and check in?

Upon arrival at the gallery, please enter through the AGO Main Entrance. Proceed past the main level Coat Check and down the stairs to the Education Commons. Check in with the AGO staff member at the Group desk kiosk.

Please tell us if any member of your group has mobility restrictions and/or medical concerns we should know of.

A numbered bin will be provided for your group’s belongings as backpacks are not permitted in the gallery. Please keep valuables with you as the AGO is not responsible for lost or damaged items. Small plastic bags can be provided if you need. Alternatively, you can check your valuables at our Coat Check on the main level.

Where can my group eat lunch?

The AGO's South Entrance and Weston Family Learning Centre on the Concourse Level are available on a first come first served basis should you require space for your group to eat their lunches.

Can we buy food onsite?

Drop by the Bistro and treat your group to a mouthwatering selection of family favourites. The $14 Kids Meal includes an app, a main, and a drink! View the menu and book now.

What activities are happening in the gallery?

Enjoy an interactive large-scale textile installation in Walker Court that blends the artistry of embroidery with the innovation of 3D printing. Created by the AGOxRBC Artist-in-Residence, Laura Carwardine.

At the Dr. Mariano Elia Hands-On Centre, you’ll find artmaking activities and creative play opportunities. Recommended for ages up to 6.

Make sure to grab an AGO PLAY booklet at our Art Cart in Walker Court. The AGO PLAY activity booklet is packed with art-making challenges, gallery scavenger hunts, quizzes, and games. Available while supplies last.
