Digital Membership Cards - FAQs

The AGO issues digital membership cards, an environmentally friendly option that also gives you added convenience.

The digital card lives in your smartphone wallet, so it is always with you. Your downloaded card gets automatically updated every year when you renew your membership. That eliminates the problem of finding and replacing plastic cards, so the new cards are a much more practical and sustainable option.

DIGITAL MEMBERSHIP CARD FAQS

What is the AGO digital membership card?

The AGO digital membership card originally replaced the physical membership card in 2021. Due to a recent system upgrade, AGO Members and Annual Passholders are asked to download a new version of their digital membership card. While your membership ID number will be different on your new card, there will be no change to your membership level or corresponding benefits package. The new digital card will display your name, membership level, ID number and expiry date.

Digital membership cards work the same as physical cards, simply show your digital card to our staff to enjoy your exclusive Members’ benefits.

How will I use my digital membership card?

You can use your new digital membership card the same way as the previous digital card. You can continue to enjoy the same exclusive Members' benefits and visit the Gallery.

Simply show your digital membership card to gain entry to the gallery, as well as enjoy Members' discounts at shopAGO, AGO Bistro and at the Espresso Bar. Your digital membership card will also grant you admission to the Norma Ridley Members Lounge and exclusive Member Events such as Member Previews.

How do I add the digital membership card on my mobile device?

Digital membership cards will be sent to the email address on your account. You will need to open this email on your smartphone and follow the instructions to download the card. The card will be automatically stored in your phone’s wallet app.

For iPhone users:
iPhones have a native app called Apple Wallet. Click the "Download Membership Card" button in the email you received on your iPhone, then "Add to Wallet," then "Add." Your digital membership card will automatically download to the Apple Wallet app.

To access the digital wallet, swipe down on your home screen to activate the Search function. Type "Wallet" into the search bar. Then, tap the Wallet icon that appears under the "Applications" header. From there, you will be able to access your digital card.

For Android users:
If you have an Android device, we would like to share our recommendation for Google Wallet as the #1 option for Android users. Google Wallet is a native OS app that is easy to use, reliable, secure, and already pre-installed on most Android devices:

  1. Make sure the Google Wallet app is installed. If not, you may download it from here.
  2. Open the email directly from your phone
  3. Tap on the "Download Membership" button
  4. Click on "add to Google Wallet"
  5. A preview will appear. Click on "Save to Google Wallet"
  6. In some cases, Google Wallet might ask you to log in so you can save it to an account. Please log in to continue (no credit card information should be required).
  7. The card will be saved to Google Wallet and you will be able to access it from the Google Wallet app at any moment.
