Melissa Potter

Conservator, Works on Paper

Melissa is a Conservator of Works on Paper at the AGO. She is a graduate of the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation. She has worked for institutions in Canada and internationally including and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Museum Boijmans van Beuningen (The Netherlands), the AGO, the Archives of Ontario, and most recently Queen’s University Library. She was a Kress Fellow with the Teyler’s Museum (The Netherlands), and held internships there, at the Baltimore Museum of Art, and the AGO. Additionally, she has worked in private practice for public and individual clients, including the Aga Khan Museum and The Image Centre. Melissa is accredited by the Canadian Association for Professional Conservators and is a Professional Member of the American Institute for Conservation. Her experience with the full range of historic, modern, and contemporary paper-based materials is invaluable in caring for the AGO’s paper-based collections.
