When you think of Paris, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Perhaps you think of the Eiffel Tower, or maybe the classic bistro-lined boulevards with wine-sipping patrons sharing a quick meal on the terrace? Us too. And to give you a little taste of Paris in downtown Toronto, the AGO Members’ preview for our new exhibition Impressionism in the Age of Industry: Monet, Pissarro and more is February 12 –15, and AGO Bistro is bringing an all-new exhibition menu of classic French cuisine.

Inspired by the charm and splendor of French cuisine, AGO Bistro is serving up mouth-watering meals for brunch, lunch, dinner and after-work drinks. Featuring classics like beef bourguignon and croque-madame, each menu highlights the delicious meals offered by the first French bistros of the late 1800s.

Take a look at this smoked, braised carrot. Prepared with a carrot-fennel purée and beluga lentils, pair it with a glass of chenin blanc for the perfect vegan meal.
