For those who want to get artistic with a bit of instruction but find it hard to commit to week-long art courses, we’ve got the perfect solution for you. Give our one-day workshops a try for inspired artmaking that fits your busy schedule.

Who says art and physical activity can’t coincide? Our Expressive Drawing and Action Painting workshops emphasize the physical art of painting and mark-making.

For those with tiny art-makers, we recommend our one-day family workshops that invite kids and adults to create together. Mini-Moores might enjoy Sculpting Together: Exploring Henry Moore and for the tiny Thomsons, we offer Painting Together: Exploring Group of Seven.

Feeling nervous about diving into drawing? Learn to draw with drinks and dialogue at Art & Ideas: Drawing. Drinks. Social every first and third Friday of the month. New to the Art & Ideas series, Art & Ideas: Seniors Workshop encourages artmakers age 65+ to make new art connections and have art conversations!

Feeling inspired by other artists? Writing Explorations is a series of group workshops inspired by the AGO Collection or special exhibitions, and guided by an artist-instructor. Learn to express yourself in written and visual form, building on the personal experiences and narrative strategies of great artists. Join us this October for Writing Explorations Inspired by Hito Steyerl or for Writing Explorations Inspired by Rubens in November. For an even deeper look at the artists, try Study Day: Rubens 101 or Study Day: Hito Steyerl 101 where you can enjoy talks, art viewing, artmaking and more.

Admission to the AGO Collection and all special exhibitions is always free for AGO MembersAGO Annual Pass holders and visitors 25 and under. For more information, please visit the website.
