Library & Archives Unshelved: From the Drawing Board
This drop-in series, hosted by AGO librarians and archivists, gives visitors a first-hand glimpse of highlights from the Edward P. Taylor Library & Archives collection. In this installment, Processing Archivist, Camille McDayter, unveils a treasure trove of records drawn from the AGO archives that show the evolution of the Gallery’s visual identity.
This collection will feature visual aspects that have represented the Gallery’s brand, such as logos, colours, typography, and illustrations. The display includes printed material such as historical letterhead, invitations, promotional brochures and other ephemera, as well as mock-ups and drafts that speak to the design process. Please visit the Marvin Gelber Print & Drawing Study Centre at any point between 6 to 8 pm to experience this collection.
