Mindfulness Series: The Human Connection and Curiosity

Slow Down…The more you look the more you see…

What can we discover through curiosity and an open mind? What can we learn about our connection to oneself and others? Can we be present with our physical and emotional sensation's without labelling or judgement? Join us and experience art differently, and discover the joy of looking at and loving art. This session will introduce the principle of mindfulness; engage in body awareness exercises and mindfulness practice followed by examining one work of art for an extended period. In most meditations we close our eyes but in this case we'll keep them open. We hope that by taking part in mindful viewing you will gain a different perspective of the artwork.

Facilitator Bio: Karmit is a dancer, Yoga/Pilates Instructor and a mindfulness ambassador. She has spent hundreds of hours exploring different kind of movement’s, from variations of dance forms, mat Pilates and different styles of yoga .Through the natural progression of mind and body connection, she felt the need to dive into Mindfulness and continue to explore with awareness and curiosity. Karmit’s intention is to offer her students space to explore the relationship of movement and breathe free of self judgement through the practice of presence and staying true to oneself.
