Painting Explorations: Figure

Explore the expressiveness of the human form through figure painting in this dynamic course. Students will work both independently and in small groups as they learn about colour, lighting, and a range of painting techniques. With guidance, students will practice observing a clothed model and experiment with different approaches to representing the human figure on canvas.  The class will also visit the galleries, including the special exhibition Sunday Best, to see how artists use light, brushwork, and composition to create expressive and imaginative interpretations of the human figure. 

All materials are provided. 

Please bring your receipt (either printed/digital) and meet in the Dr. Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School.
