TORONTO — The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) is Toronto's home for creative play and learning, and this spring and summer, the museum presents a diverse line up of studio courses, workshops, and camps, for makers of all ages and abilities. New this season is Illuminated Forms, a five-week sculpture course for all skill levels and Breakfast Club, a dynamic monthly event designed to stimulate creativity and connections. Registered Workshops
- Beginning Saturday, May 14 and continuing monthly, join us for Breakfast Club, a new relaxed social art class. From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., begin with coffee or tea and a pastry at the AGO Espresso Bar, followed by an artist-instructor-led art workshop in the galleries. Gallery admission, sketching supplies, coffee and pastry are included in the fee. AGO Members and Annual Pass holders receive a discount. Book your class now at ago.ca/events/breakfast-club.
- Returning Friday, May 1 from 6 to 9 p.m., and continuing the first Friday of the month all summer long, Drawing. Drinks. Social invites visitors to spend an evening over drinks and conversation while an AGO artist-instructor leads through an artmaking session. Gallery admission, sketching supplies, and a drink are included in the fee. AGO Members and Annual Pass holders receive a discount. Studio art courses and workshops continue this spring and summer for artists of all ages and skill levels at the Dr. Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School. Inspired by current exhibitions and the AGO Collection, there is something for every schedule, with 1-day workshops, 2 or 4-day intensives and 4- and 8-week long courses. - Painting Together: Watercolour in the Park (ages 6-10 with adult)
This summer, the AGO presents one-day workshops for children aged 6 to 10 and their adult caregivers to learn watercolour painting techniques in the studio and head outside to paint in Grange Park. - Sculpture Explorations: Illuminated Forms
Beginning Friday, May 15, and continuing for five weeks, this new course takes inspiration from the artistry of Ranbir Sidhu to consider form and light. - Printmaking Explorations: Gel Plate

- Painting Exploration: Impressionism - Weekend Intensive
Beginning Saturday, July 25, this two-day adult workshop will focus on capturing light, atmosphere, and mood with Impressionist techniques. Inspired by the exhibition The Impressionist Revolution: Monet to Matisse from the Dallas Museum of Art, it is suitable for students with some painting experience. Summer Art Camp 2026 Registration
Limited spots still available! AGO art camp returns in 2026, offering ten weeks of artful adventures for children and youth ages 5 to 13. Blending studio art, museum tours, fun, and games, returning this year is the dynamic two-week Leadership in Training program for youth ages 14 and 15. AGO members receive discounts on camps.
