Painting Explorations: Impressionism - Weekend Intensive

This course introduces students to a range of painting techniques in the Impressionistic style, including different application methods to develop an awareness of light, line, volume, form and colour.  Students will create studies and finished works using acrylic paint in this course inspired by The Impressionist Revolution: Monet to Matisse from the Dallas Museum of Art exhibition. Learn to capture light, atmosphere and mood while approaching Impressionist painting technically and conceptually.

This class is suitable for students with some painting experience. Meet in the Dr. Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School.
