TORONTO – The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) announces its March Break programming lineup featuring nine days of drop-in fun for the whole family, designed to unleash the artist in us all. Beginning Saturday, March 12 and running daily through Sunday, March 20 (with a special opening on Monday, March 14) the AGO is Toronto’s one-stop destination for artful March Break fun with an exciting assortment of hands-on art making, creative play and interactive programming. March Break activities are free with general admission, and visitors can save $10 off the cost of a family pass when they purchase tickets online in advance at www.ago.ca. AGO members always receive free admission.
The top five exciting AGO March Break activities include:
- Zero Gravity Circus presents Zany Zircus with the master of tricks Fesso Zesso. Featuring juggling and stunts, Fesso leads interactive performances daily in the AGO’s central Walker Court at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- Family-friendly gallery tours featuring the return of Claes Oldenburg’s Floor Burger. Tours are offered daily beginning at 10:30 a.m.
- The AGO Kids Gallery presents Pets and Me: Explore, Imagine, Create: an interactive exhibition dedicated to our animal friends featuring a photo booth and touch stations. Be sure to tag your photos #AGOKidsGallery to see them appear in the gallery’s own Instagram feed
- New art making activities—from printmaking to painting—happening daily in the AGO’s Gallery School from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Family Yoga – no experience required! Happening every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2 p.m.
