Art lovers, have you heard the exciting news about our new admission model announced last week? With the new $35 AGO Annual Pass and free admission for visitors under 25, it’s never been easier to make art a part of your everyday life.

Starting May 25, visitors 25 and under can visit the AGO for free – all year, anytime, as often as they want. And visitors over 25 can purchase the AGO Annual Pass. For only $35, passholders will get unlimited admission to the AGO Collection and all special exhibitions for an entire year. That’s 365 days of art for only $35!

By removing some of the financial barriers, we hope the decision to visit the AGO becomes an easy one. The Annual Pass will also make your visit simpler than ever before. Pass holders will receive a digital card that can be displayed on your smartphone when you arrive. That means less time waiting in the ticket line and more time enjoying works by your favourite artists.

How can we do this, you ask? A big part of it is thanks to the generosity of the AGO's community of Members, sponsors and donors, and we are deeply grateful to them. Our membership program provides a foundation of philanthropic support. The loyalty of nearly 100,000 members allows the AGO to fulfill its mission to bring art, learning and audiences together. (Membership continues to offer special benefits, including exclusive previews of special exhibitions, discounts, access to the Norma Ridley Members’ Lounge, and more.) Through their memberships, they are helping the AGO open its doors wider than ever.

“Great cities deserve great civic spaces, and increasing access to the AGO will make the museum a more welcoming and inclusive place for all,” says Stephan Jost, the AGO's Michael and Sonja Koerner Director, and CEO.

To celebrate the new changes, we’re kicking off the first-ever AGO All Hours on May 25. With special programs and artmaking for all ages and performances happening all day throughout the entire museum, it’s the next unmissable art event. AGO Annual Pass holders, AGO Members and all visitors under 25 get in free of charge. A single visit ticket is $25.
