Critics and visitors have been raving about Brian Jungen Friendship Centre. With less than a week left before the exhibition closes, time is running out to see the stunning works of this artist. Take a look at some of the glowing reviews and visitor feedback for Brian Jungen Friendship Centre.

The exhibition is “audacious” according Kate Taylor of The Globe and Mail, who went on to say that “the wit in the incongruous merging of the brand-name running shoe and the museum mask, two high-value yet very different objects, is quickly grasped. And the craft is immediately visible and deeply impressive.”

Indigenous news organization Nation Talk described Jungen's new work Friendship Centre as a “striking backdrop to Jungen’s sculptures and wall-works,” while the Canadian Press said that Jungen is “driven by a mission to push Indigenous art in new directions.”

At the start of its run, blogTO called it “an awesome new exhibit…” while Nuvo Magazine said that “the pieces are strikingly beautiful, yet they carry a more loaded meaning.”

Christine Sismondo of the Toronto Star called the show “breathtaking” and “showstopping,” noting that “the selfie sticks are sure to come out. And we should probably go easy on them this time, given that it’s easy to get swept up in a little emotion when you take in the grandeur.”

And she wasn’t wrong. Take a look at some of the visitor responses (and selfies) taken throughout the run of the exhibition:

Brian Jungen Friendship Centre closes Sunday, August 25.
