Adult Studio Workshop: It Can Be Anything
This workshop is designed to support participants who identify as having intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Recommended age group: 18 years old and up
Join us for an interactive artmaking workshop that brings into the limelight the budding artistic talents of neuro-diverse adults. In this online virtual studio, we will take a look at an artwork from the AGO Collection to explore the many ways you can express yourself. It can be anything!
This workshop is inspired by the artwork of a young woman named Rachel, and a short film showcasing her artwork called It Can Be Anything. The short film uses animation to take us through the compelling artwork of a person with neuro-diverse creativity.
David and Kelley will explore colour in our everyday lives! While having conversations and working with your art materials, you’ll learn about value; hue; saturation. How do you balance colour, create contrast, and work with complimentary colours? Bring your imagination and creativity.
Suggested Art Materials: Oil pastels, pencils crayons, watercolour pencil crayons, chalk pastel, tempera or watercolour paint; markers White and coloured paper, scissors, tape or glue stick.
Live sessions will contain automated closed captions.
Closed captioning is available in this recording.
