AGO x RBC Emerging Artists: Cosmic Frequencies
(Sound Design for Visual Artists)

As part of the AGO x RBC Emerging Artists series (ArtLab), this hands-on workshop is designed for time-based media artists interested in expanding their practice through graphics, sound and frequencies that can enhance the viewer's experience. Learn how to use open-source and freely available generative tools—such as Touch Designer, VCV Rack, Audacity, and other creative coding platforms—to compose original soundscapes and scores for your video work.

Participants are asked to bring composed sounds evoking the theme of Cosmic Frequencies: Discovering the universe's vibrations by producing a wide variation of eerie, glitchy and evocative sounds. (Video/Audio files max 2 min.)

Led by an Audio-Visual Creative Technologist team, this session offers an exciting introduction to sound design through a visual art lens.

Participants are asked to bring their own computers and chargers to the workshop.
