Conservation of Photographs on Glass Symposium

The symposium will feature a day of lectures for photograph conservators and general care-takers alike: the lectures will cover the history of photographs on glass and the history of glass, as it relates to photography. Speakers on this day will be Katharine Whitman, conservator of photography at the AGO, Stephen Koob, head of glass conservation at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York, and Sophie Hackett, curator of photographs at the AGO. There will also be an expert panel discussion including Katherine Whitman, Stephen Koob, Sophie Hackett and Lisa Ellis, AGO conservator of sculpture and decorative arts, on glass and photographs in the AGO collection.
