The legendary American photographer Diane Arbus revolutionized portraiture through the range of subjects she captured and her distinctive style. She created a body of work that reflects a yearning to make visible the diverse range of humanity – couples, children, nudists, suburban families, circus performers, and celebrities, among others. This exhibition is drawn from and celebrates the AGO’s recent landmark acquisition of over 500 works by this remarkable artist.
