Free After Three: Style Club - Pattern Drafting a Tote Bag!

Tuesday, April 17, 2018, 4-6 pm (Ages 14-25)
Weston Family Learning Centre, Art Gallery of Ontario

Learn how to pattern draft the tote bag of your dreams! Carry a laptop? Or just a bunch of comic books? Does the family dog need to fit in there? Either way, fashion designer Emma Doyle will teach you how to draft a tote bag unique to you and your needs.

Limited to 20 spaces, first come first serve.

Emma Doyle is a designer working in fashion, film and interiors. She spent a decade in London, UK, designing for independent, luxury womens and menswear labels, including Louise Gray, Nasir Mazhar, Future Classics and Michael van der Ham. Her work with these brands has been exhibited at London Fashion Week, Fashion East and internationally within London Showrooms in Paris, New York, LA and Hong Kong. It has appeared in Vogue, ID, Dazed and Confused and has been sold world wide in retail spaces such as Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Dover Street Market, Opening Ceremony and Net-a-porter. Since moving back to her much-loved Toronto 2 years ago, Emma has worked in costume for television and film on The Handmaid’s Tale, and as a textile artist on Star Trek: Discovery. This winter she launched her own clothing label, BEST TIME. Emma studied Fashion at Ryerson University in Toronto and Central St Martins in London and has previously instructed at London College of Fashion, Brighton University and Toronto’s TFA and The Workroom. She is so excited to be teaching this spring at the AGO, a place very near and dear to her heart.
