imagineNative Art Crawl Party

Wednesday, October 18, 8 - 10 pm
Walker Court, Art Gallery of Ontario

Join us to celebrate with the imagineNATIVE Media + Arts Festival, as we host the closing party to their annual Art Crawl, featuring a performance by TechnoTihuacan, video artist Roberto Fatal and DJ Bianca Oblivion, and a cash bar in Walker Court.

TechnoTihuacan combines live DJing and video art remixing into a feature length experimental film performed live in front of an audience, examining border politics, de-colonialism, queer sexuality, Afro-Latinx visibility, pop culture, trans identity and spirituality. These videos, a mix of original creations and curated works, are synced with techno/cumbia/merengue/vogue music remixes that respond to and support the digital visuals.

The imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival is the world's largest Indigenous Festival of its kind, presenting present Artistic and Industry programming showcasing Film + Video, Digital + Interactive, and Audio media work created by Indigenous artists (directors, producers, writers, designers) at all levels of experience. The imagineNATIVE Art Crawl features galleries in the Toronto area presenting exhibitions featuring Indigenous artists who continue to push the boundaries and expectations of what Indigenous storytelling is.
