Light Years: A closing celebration and conversation
Marking the close of Light Years: The Phil Lind Gift, join us for two engaging panels featuring collectors, dealers, and curators in conversation. Over four decades, Lind built a visionary collection that spanned Canadian and global postwar and contemporary art. Hear from the next generation of collectors on what strategies and ambitions they have for their collections and how they support the work we do at the AGO. Between the two panels there will be a cash bar and time to time to mix and mingle with guests.
Our panelists include Alex Bowron, Anjli Patel, Daniel Faria, and Jed Lind in conversation with AGO curators Sophie Hackett and Adam Welch.

He founded Jed Lind Interiors after working as the lead designer for the renowned firms Studio Shamshiri and Commune Design. Formerly an artist he studied at the California Institute of the Arts and following showed extensively in the US, Latin American, Europe, and Canada.
Anjli Patel and her husband Parambir Keila have been collecting art for fifteen years. Their collection focuses on contemporary art by diaspora South Asian artists. They consider collecting to be a form of seva — a Sanskrit and Punjabi word meaning “service” — because it directly impacts artists.
