Miles Greenberg in Conversation

Join performance artist and sculptor Miles Greenberg in conversation with novelist and playwright Jordan Tannahill about their work and inspiration.  

Moderated by the AGO's Program Curator, Performance and Live, Bojana Stancic. 

Presented in conjunction with Miles Greenberg: RESPAWN  and Luminato’s Conversation Series.

Miles Greenberg (b. 1997 in Montreal) is a New York-based performance artist and sculptor. His work consists of large-scale, sensorially immersive and site-specific environments revolving around the physical body in space. Most recently Greenberg was also long-listed for the prestigious Sobey Art Award. 

Jordan Tannahill (b. 1988) is a novelist, playwright, and director of film and theatre. His debut novel, Liminal, won France’s 2021 Prix des Jeunes Libraires. His second novel, The Listeners, was shortlisted for the 2021 Giller Prize, and has been adapted into a limited series for the BBC, airing this fall. 

Bojana Stancic is Program Curator of Performance and Live projects at the Art Gallery of Ontario. She was producer then curator of AGO First Thursdays, a late-night cross-disciplinary museum takeover series, curator and instigator of AGO Live, a large-scale performance series as well as various exhibition related live programs. 

Luminato’s Conversation Series of engaging talks and resources which explore the ideas that fuel the festival. Join us for candid and meaningful discussions about the realities we face and the futures we can envision and create, together. No idea is off-limits as we dig into the issues that affect our communities, our families, our systems, and our lives. Art starts conversations. We invite you to join the conversation.
